Location: Various settings, including home visits, clinics, gyms, and hydrotherapy pools.
Hours: 30 hours per week - must have Saturday availability. Part-time position with potential to become full-time.
Role Overview: We are looking for an enthusiastic Allied Health Assistant to support a diverse multi-disciplinary healthcare team in providing therapeutic and program-related care. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in assisting with individual therapy sessions, including those in hydrotherapy and gym environments, helping to improve clients' physical, functional, and communication skills.
This position is particularly ideal for someone who enjoys working in water and can assist with hydrotherapy sessions, supporting clients in their rehabilitation journey at SPLASH Craigieburn.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist therapists in delivering therapy plans across various settings (home visits, schools, clinics, gym, hydrotherapy pools).
Provide hands-on support in therapeutic activities (e.g., exercise routines, communication strategies, daily living skills).
Lead and assist in individual therapy sessions under therapist supervision.
Observe and report on client progress, offering feedback to therapists for treatment plan adjustments.
Able to work independently under the supervision of practitioner within scope of practice.
Maintain therapy spaces and equipment, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and organization.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to foster a positive and effective therapeutic environment.

Key Requirements:
Qualifications: Cert IV in Allied Health Assistance
Experience: 3 years experience or more in Allied Health Assistant work in Community Health or a similar setting.
Experience working with diverse client groups, including individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, aged persons, and/or people with disabilities.
Experience in facilitating and conducting group programs.
Strong written, communication, and IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
You hold a current Victorian driver's license and basic swimming capabilities
Must have Australian work rights as sponsorship is not available for this position.
