- Salary Package: Level B from $123,435 to $146,044 p.a. or Level C from $150,714 to $173,323 p.a. plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading

The Role
Macquarie University is proud to offer an innovative and evidenced-based Doctor of Physiotherapy (DPT) post graduate degree. Our course combines contemporary coursework with over 1,000 hours of supervised clinical placements, providing students with an excellent grounding for their future career.
Reporting to the Head of Department, Health Sciences, you will utilise your professional and industry experience to make a critical contribution to the development and delivery of teaching within the DPT program and other Health Sciences courses. We seek a highly motivated Physiotherapist to join our department as Lecturer or Senior Lecturer for appointment to either the 'Teaching and Leadership' or 'Teaching and Research' job family. You will have expertise in teaching and convening Physiotherapy and Health Sciences related programs and research in these areas.

The Teaching & Leadership Academic is a specialist teaching and leadership role for academic staff who demonstrate excellence in teaching and leadership. As a specialist role, Teaching & Leadership Academic staff dedicate their workload contribution to Teaching, Teaching Leadership, and Service. Graduate research degree supervision may also form a part of teaching-related activities in this job family.
The Teaching & Research Academic dedicates their workload contribution to teaching, research and service including graduate research student supervision within their research as well as fulfilling service roles to the Department and/or Faculty.
About You
You will possess a tertiary qualification in physiotherapy and be interested in sharing your professional experience to make a critical contribution to the development and delivery of learning and teaching within the DPT and other health sciences courses. You will have experience with, or a willingness to embrace, educational technology, blended learning and educational innovation. In addition, ideally you will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the integration between research/practice and quality teaching, and how this integration can enhance student engagement.

Essential Criteria
- Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy, including a PhD,
- Demonstrated experience in teaching and convening in health sciences courses,
- A commitment and capability to deliver high-quality learning and teaching,
- Evidence of creating a superior student experience and engagement with diverse cohorts,
- Proven capacity to lead and operate effectively within a team,
- Demonstrated proficiency to communicate in a variety of contexts to a wide range of stakeholders, and
- Demonstrated evidence of organisational acumen including attention to detail
Desirable Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in clinical and/ or teaching and / or research in area of neurological physiotherapy in an academic setting is highly desirable.
