SmartCare is opening a brand new private Urgent Care Centre at the Mater Health Hub, Springfield Central. Owned and operated by a group of Emergency Specialists, our model is built on clinical excellence, innovation, and a culture-first approach.
We are seeking expressions of interest from RNs with emergency or urgent care experience to join our team, ready for opening in Jan 2026. You will play a key frontline role in assessing, triaging, and delivering high-quality care to walk-in patients with non-life-threatening urgent medical needs, supported by an experienced emergency consultants and diagnostics team.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct timely and accurate nursing triage for walk-in and referred patients.
Provide urgent care procedures, including suturing, plastering, wound care, ECGs, and IV therapy.
Support medical officers and assist with minor emergencies and urgent presentations.
Monitor patients and respond to any signs of deterioration, escalating to medical or QAS support as required.
Deliver person-centred care and patient education in line with SmartCare’s values.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
Contribute to quality improvement, accreditation, and infection control practices.
About You
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
Minimum 3 years of acute, ED, ICU, or urgent care nursing experience.
Current CPR and Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
Demonstrated triage and acute assessment skills.
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
Commitment to maintaining patient safety, privacy, and a high standard of care.
