Our Northern division operates five beef processing plants across Queensland and Northern NSW, producing more than 400,000 tonnes of beef products every year.

The JBS Beef City Plant is part of the Beef City integrated farming, feedlot, and processing facility. The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimising stress and transportation costs, while simultaneously improving eating quality – one of only two in the southern hemisphere.

Strategically located 35km west of Toowoomba in the prime grain and cattle producing region of the Darling Downs, our Beef City Plant employs approximately 850 team members, with a processing capacity of 1,000 head of cattle per day, operating 5 days per week.

About the Role

JBS Beef City are currently recruiting for Cold Stores Labourers. Positions are full time, Monday to Friday with optional overtime on Saturday where available. Night shift hours are 8pm to 5am.

Entry level roles start at $25.86/hour (permanent positions - guaranteed 38.75 hours/week) plus a shift allowance for afternoon and night shifts.

About You

We are interested in speaking with applicants that have an interest or experience in a position that involves manual handling, container loading and unloading, cold storage and warehousing. This is an entry level position with the opportunity upskill and increase your hourly rate.

Previous experience not required; all necessary training will be provided

Willingness to participate in a well-developed team environment from general labouring to highly skilled key positions

Comply with, and contribute to, our highly developed WHS, Quality Assurance and Training programs

Have access to reliable transport to travel safely to and from work

Good attendance and hard work will be rewarded with the opportunity to progress through the many career pathways available

Willingness to receive a Q Fever vaccination
