About the role

As an Animal Care Attendant at Sydney Pet Boarding, we are on the prowl for a get-your-hands-dirty and your shirt furry.

In this part-time position, you will be responsible for ensuring the comfort, safety and well-being of all our guests throughout their stay. This is an excellent opportunity to combine your passion for animal welfare with hands-on experience in a growing pet care business.

What you'll be doing

Feeding, grooming and exercising boarding pets according to their individual needs and schedules

Cleaning and maintaining pet enclosures, play areas and the overall boarding facility to the highest standards of hygiene

Closely monitoring the health and behavior of all boarding animals and reporting any concerns to senior staff

Assisting with the reception and check-in/check-out of boarding guests, and communicating with pet owners

Providing personalised attention and enrichment activities to ensure each pet's comfort and wellbeing during their stay

Taking photos and videos of our guests for social media

What we're looking for

Previous experience working in an animal care or veterinary setting

A genuine passion for animals and the ability to provide a high standard of care

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills to identify any pet health or behavioral concerns

Excellent communication skills to liaise with pet owners and team members

Ability to work independently, and work well within a close-knit team

Flexibility to work regular weekends, public holidays. We are a 7-day business, open 365 days of the year. Our hours are 7:30am to 3pm

Own transport is preferred

A relevant qualification in animal care, or veterinary nursing is highly desirable
