About the role

The purpose of this role is to deliver high quality, evidence-based Speech Pathology services across the continuum of care to patients and families of RBWH, within the Department of Speech Pathology and as part of an interprofessional, collaborative team. This involves the assessment, diagnosis and management of patients with tracheostomy, swallowing and communication disorders.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Organise and prioritise allocated patient caseload and undertake routine speech pathology tasks within well establish clinical protocols and according to approved clinical management plans to ensure appropriate and effective patient management.
  • Work flexibly across all caseloads in response to changing clinical demand.
  • Clinical services will be delivered in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
  • Participate in clinical research activities with demonstrated outcomes to advance speech pathology practice as required.
