Senior / Intermediate Hydraulic Designer Building Services

An opportunity exists for an experienced Senior or Intermediate Hydraulic Designer to join MDA Consulting Engineers. The successful applicant will be based in either our Brisbane CBD Office or Gold Coast offices.

This position provides a unique opportunity to join our expanding business.

The applicant will need to demonstrate experience in Building Services Hydraulic Design and able to undertake the Hydraulic Design of various projects in terms of brief definition, authority negotiations, advise clients and other professionals and preparation of design documentation for authority approvals and tender purposes.

You would be working in a well established multi-disciplined medium sized Consulting & Engineering practice and be responsible for preparing electrical design documentation across a range of projects including:

Industrial developments

Residential low-rise unit developments

Residential multiple level high rise resort developments

Hospital projects

Health Care projects

Resort developments

Schools & Universities

Commercial retail and office developments

Industrial & Mining

Local & Federal Government Projects.

Ideally you will have a minimum of Three (3) years’ experience in the consulting engineering field or allied organization.

You will have the following:

The applicant will have proven Hydraulic Building Services design capability.

It is not a requirement for the applicant to be QBCC licenced however this is would be an advantage.

Experience and Knowledge of Design in:

Hydraulic building services design.

Hydraulic design calculations

Knowledge of Local Authority regulation and requirements.

Production of technical specifications

Production & design documentation

Ability to liaise with clients, authorities, and contractors.

Your responsibilities will include:

Attendance at client/project meetings

Attendance at project and site meetings

Establish and maintain client relationships.

Ensure designs comply with industry and authority regulations.

Preparation of:

Design documentation

Hydraulic Design Calculations

Specifications

RFI Responses

Written project correspondence.
