The Role

Southern Cross Care NSW & ACT is seeking a Bus Driver to support our Eastern Suburbs facilities. They will be responsible and accountable for driving the residents safely to all designated locations and ensuring prompt arrival and departure.

You will be working Part Time across our Daceyville, South Coogee and Maroubra facilities on Monday to Thursday between 0930-1600hrs.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure the bus is in good operating order before each trip, and all required items for the trip are available

Inspect the vehicle prior to operation for safety purposes utilizing a designated safety check list, report any malfunctions; ensure the vehicle is in safe operational mode.

Perform and/or coordinate basic vehicle maintenance; service vehicle with petrol, water and oil; clean exterior and interior of vehicles including picking up debris, sweeping floor, wiping upholstery and cleaning windshields and headlights.

Maintain and update records such as incident and accident reports; report incidents which affect the safety of passengers; report mechanical defects and malfunctions to appropriate personnel.

Maintain records of all expenditure within delegated authority and prepare monthly reconciliations.

Assisting staff with residents when on outings.

Bus driver who has LRV License
