About the role

As a Speech Therapist Assistant (AHA) at Reliance Care Medical Centre, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality speech therapy services to our participants. This is a full-time position based in our clinic located in Truganina/Deer Park, Victoria.

What you'll be doing

Assist the Speech Therapist in conducting assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans for patients with communication and swallowing difficulties

Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions under the direction of the Speech Therapist

Document patient progress and maintain accurate records

Liaise with other healthcare professionals involved in the patient's care

Support the Speech Therapist in the administration and organisation of the clinic

Participate in continuing education and training to enhance your skills

What we're looking for

Completion of a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent qualification

Overseas qualified Speech Therapist

Demonstrated experience in a similar assistant role, preferably within a speech therapy or allied health setting

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients and their families

Excellent organisational and documentation skills

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centred care
