Hours: Full-time (Maximum term until 31 December 2026)
Annual Full-Time Equivalent Salary: $128,901 - %$143,782 + 12% super + salary packaging

We’re seeking a Manager, Medicare Mental Health Services to lead the commissioning, implementation, and integration of Medicare Mental Health activities and programs across the Hunter New England and Central Coast regions.

About the Role
As Manager, Medicare Mental Health Services, you will:
Lead and develop a high-performing team to deliver on key KPIs and strategic priorities
Oversee the commissioning, implementation, and integration of Medicare Mental Health programs
Foster collaborative relationships with stakeholders, including General Practices, Local Health Districts, service providers, and community partners
Ensure contract deliverables are met and services are delivered efficiently and effectively
Drive innovation and continuous improvement in mental health service delivery
Champion the PHN’s values of Respect, Innovation, Accountability, Integrity, Cooperation, and Recognition
What you will bring to the role
Tertiary qualifications in a health or social welfare field and/or extensive relevant experience in a health or social services environment
Demonstrated experience in team leadership, including coaching and mentoring
Experience in contract management, procurement, and service planning in a health or social care setting
Strong change management skills and the ability to influence and build effective professional relationships
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement

Additional Information
*PHN's have been funded by the Department of Health, Disability and Aging since 2015. Some roles at our PHN are maximum-term and linked to our funding contracts with the Department of Health, Disability and Aging. This is a maximum term contract until 31 December 2026 and any contract extensions are dependent on ongoing funding.
**Salary: This role is classified as Q-T within our Enterprise Agreement and the rate will be dependent on skills and experience/qualifications. New appointments are generally offered between grade Q-S.
*Portable leave and portable long service leave schemes do not apply to the PHN, for example NSW Health Portable Leave and the Community Services Industry (CSI) scheme.
