The Role:

The Team Leader will provide leadership & expertise to the Steel Value & Cutting Area, by delivering quality products to internal and external customers on time in full, defect free through quality workmanship and attention to detail.

Duties:

Direct & lead Steel Value staff to achieve desired throughput and quality

Ensure adequate stock is held to meet customer demands in accordance with agreed levels, through purchasing officer

Operate equipment & machinery as part of the Team (CNC, Plasma, Oxy cutter etc.)

Efficiently utilise available labour resources to meet customer needs

Delivery of products on time in full defect free & faultless information flow to Production area

Ensure machinery and equipment, including test and measurement equipment is maintained to a standard which assists in achieving quality conformance.

To develop a team based approach to achieving production targets. Including staff training, minimising waste, safety protocols etc.

Requirements:

Must be highly competent & experienced operating relevant steel cutting machines, in particular (CNC, Plasma Cuter & Oxy Cutter)

Leadership experience in similar manufacturing environment's, highly advantageous

Appropriate communication for a customer service environment

Must be physically fit & able to lift 25kg's
