The Role
As a TAFE Teacher in Nursing, you have the opportunity to influence the careers of future industry persons by sharing your extensive industry knowledge to students in a classroom or other educational setting.
We have an exciting permanent part-time (0.5 FTE) Teacher position available at TAFE Queensland’s Caboolture Campus.
This position reports to the Educational Team Leader.
Salary
The salary range for a part-time (0.5 FTE) Teacher is $46,465.02 - $52,609.05 (gross) per annum plus superannuation contributions of 12.75% of your salary.

Mandatory Requirements
Applicants must possess the following:
- Possession of Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent relevant qualification in education.
- Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a registered nurse.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the health and nursing industry
- Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed;
- current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided;
- current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided;
- evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment;
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card). For further information, please access: http://www.bluecard.qld.gov.au/;
- Current Queensland Driver’s license.
Additionally, to become a TAFE Teacher, you must hold one of the following training and assessment credentials:
- TAELLN411 or its successor or TAELLN401A; and
- TAEASS502 or its successor or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B; or
- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor; or
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
- TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; plus:
- TAESS00024 VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor, or
- TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set or its successor; or
- TAESS00011 Assessor Skill Set; or
- A credential issued by a higher education provider which would enable the individual to satisfy the academic requirements for registration as a secondary school teacher and one (1) of the following credentials:
- A diploma or higher-level qualification in adult or vocational education (approved by TAFE Queensland).
Note: Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.
