Full Time: Position of Industrial Designer.
A newly created role/position in a well-established Brand Design agency.
This full-time role is designed to strengthen and develop the Industrial Design capabilities across various industries and clients for the next 5+ years. Focused on local (Australian clients) plus growing our international client base globally. International experience working with large clients on complex projects is a key requisite for this role. This role includes strategic design planning, 3D design concept visualization, and development of products and experiences from idea through to manufacturing. Consideration of ergonomic factors, brand marketing implications, and manufacturability are key aspects of this role. The ideal candidate will have an outstanding eye for detail demonstrated through crafted solutions across a wide range of international clients and industries. Compensation, annual leave and superannuation follow standard employment for all full-time employees.

Key responsibilities for the role of Industrial Designer:
Defining all design objectives and constraints: by collaboration and consulting with clients, stakeholders and relevant customers.
Leading research: defining the strategic functional, commercial, cultural, and aesthetic brand requirements for product concepts and brand experiences.
Developing design concepts: for various products, commercial and consumer goods, as well defining the in-store and on-line shopping experience.
Preparing visual representations: of design and creative concepts through sketches, user journeys, illustrations, and realistic 3D renderings and CAD models.
Collaborating with cross functional teams: to finalize holistic design solutions.
Selecting materials and production methods: from strategic concept to manufacturing.
Documenting designs: Technical experience and understanding across industries to enable pre-production drawings and oversee/collaborate on prototype development.

Skill Level and Requirements: A bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent experience in a relevant field, such as industrial design. Minimum of five years of relevant experience working with international clients/brands. This role may require on-the-job training in addition to a formal qualification due to changes in technology and industry standards.
