The role:

Reporting to the Patient Administration Database Platform (PADP) Project Manager within the Digitally Enabled Business Solutions unit, you will work closely with delivery teams, practice managers, support teams and subject matter experts to build a modern cloud-based business intelligence solution.

As a Senior Applications Specialist, you will play an integral role in the delivery of the PADP which will support a contemporary datastore environment and reporting and analytics solution for Queensland Health patient administration data which in turn will support modernised healthcare processes and improved integrated care.

The role will be responsible for engaging and communicating effectively with stakeholders at every level (Director, Data Manager, Team Lead, Clinicians and end users) when required to make sure that any changes to the platform reflect the complete implicit requirements of the business. Additionally, you will contribute to an effective customer focused team and work collaboratively to initiate, influence, and maintain relationships between internal and external stakeholders,

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Demonstrated high level of expertise and experience in analysis and rationalisation of applications and good understanding of service delivery and support models and their impacts within a large and complex organisation (health sector experience preferable, however not essential) .
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, at business and technical levels, complex architectural concepts, drivers, and issues, in both written and verbal formats.
• Demonstrated understanding of how to integrate information technology with business processes and people.
• Experience in technology design including integration of technologies
