The role
As a case worker, you will work closely and flexibly with between 8 and11 families (pro-rata), maintaining regular face-to-face contact. Your work will be informed by child protection risks, ensuring families progress on their goals. Our family-centred framework guides your approach, with a strong focus on achieving positive outcomes for children's and young people’s wellbeing.
Your team
You will work collaboratively within the Family Preservation team and the wider SDN village. Our team is here to support you in piloting innovative practices and contributing to meaningful change across the organisation.
Who you are
- University qualifications in social work or equivalent
- Experience in the community services or child and family sector
- Strong commitment to child-focused practice with a thorough understanding of child protection, legislation, and risk management
- Experience working with vulnerable and diverse children and families, including those from culturally diverse backgrounds
- Empathetic, supportive, and able to make sound judgments to protect children's rights and wellbeing
- Willingness to learn and apply feedback to improve clinical practice
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence
