Production Open Pit Trainer Assessors

CEM Alliance are currently seeking multiple experienced Production Open Pit Trainer Assessors to join one of our key clients’ open pit operations in the Goldfields region of Western Australia.

This is an excellent opportunity for skilled professionals who are passionate about training, safety, and operational excellence. Temp-to-perm opportunities are available for the right candidates.

About the Role

You’ll be responsible for delivering hands-on training, assessments, and mentoring across the production fleet. Working closely with site leadership and HSET teams, you’ll play a key part in building operator capability, improving safety outcomes, and ensuring compliance across site operations.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver in-pit training, assessments, and VOCs across a range of open pit mining equipment (CAT 777/785/793 trucks, dozers, graders, excavators, and loaders).

Conduct new starter onboarding, refresher training, and ongoing mentoring.

Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with site systems.

Observe operators in the field and provide feedback to support continuous improvement.

Promote a strong, safety-first culture and lead by example on site.

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience as a Trainer Assessor within an open pit mining environment (iron ore, gold, or hard rock). Minimum 2 years experience.

Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent).

Previous experience training and assessing within mining operations.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Current C-Class Driver’s Licence and ability to pass a pre-employment medical

National Police Check within 6 months validity
