About the role

We are seeking a Qualified Mechanical Fitter/Pipe Welder to join our growing team at Brondar Constructions in Brisbane. This is a full-time position, offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits. As a Qualified Mechanical Fitter/Pipe Welder, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial refrigeration systems.

What you'll be doing

Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to identify and resolve mechanical issues

Perform tig welding, other fabrication tasks to assemble and install refrigeration systems stainless steel and carbon pipe

Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment, and carry out necessary repairs and maintenance

Ensure all work meets relevant industry standards and safety regulations

Collaborate with team members to optimize system performance and efficiency

Maintain detailed records of all work performed

What we're looking for

Qualified Mechanical Fitter or Pipe Welder with a minimum of 3 years' experience in the refrigeration industry

Pipe Welding qualification is specifically required for this position

Proven expertise in welding, brazing, and other fabrication techniques

Proficiency in both TIG and MIG welding processes is essential

Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Australian citizenship is required for this position
