Join Our Team as a Youth Disability Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and confident Disability Support Worker to provide one-on-one support to children living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and behavioural challenges. This role involves working in the home, helping children build life skills, manage emotions, and engage positively in daily routines and activities.

About the role:

To know and understand the care and support of the participant

Develop and maintain positive, supportive relationships that promote trust, safety, and personal growth.

Provide personalised support in accordance with individual behaviour and care plans

Assist with emotional regulation and implement positive behaviour support strategies

Maintain professional boundaries and adhere to safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality policies.

Maintain clear and accurate documentation of supports and progress

Work collaboratively with families, therapists, and coordinators to achieve goals

Job Details:

Qualification Requirement: Cert 3 in Disability / Individual Support

Experience supporting youth / minors

Minimum 1 years' experience supporting clients with mental health conditions (e.g., anxiety, depression)

Minimum 1 years' experience supporting clients with ASD.

Full Licence and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance for transport duties

Skills : Communication, Proactive, Leadership

Pay: Competitive rates based on SCHADS

Expected Hours: Monday & Wednesday Morning Shift

Required Licenses/Certifications: All certifications must be current: Full Drivers Licence, First Aid (within 3 years), CPR (within 12 months), NDIS Worker Screening (within 3 years), Working with Children's Check, Police Check (within 12 months)

Work Authorization: Australia (Required)
