About the role

As a Wood Machinest at M.D.A Cabinets', you will play a critical role in the production of high-quality cabinets and woodwork. This full-time position is based in Chandler, QLD 4155, and involves operating a range of wood machining equipment to transform raw materials into the components that make up our beautiful custom cabinetry and furniture.

What you'll be doing

Operate a variety of wood machining equipment such as table saws, Nesting machine, routers, thicknessers and surfacers to cut, shape, and size wood components

Perform precision measurements and make adjustments to machines to ensure parts meet design specifications

Read and interpret technical drawings and production plans to understand the requirements for each project

Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored

Collaborate with the wider production team to efficiently manufacture custom cabinetry and furniture

Adhere to all workplace health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience operating wood machining equipment in a production or workshop environment

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical plans and specifications

Proficient in the use of measuring tools and ability to work to tight tolerances

Knowledge of various wood types, their properties, and how to best work with them

Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
