A prominent Australian alternative asset manager is seeking an exceptional Chief Financial Officer to lead finance across private equity, credit, real estate, and tactical investment platforms.

As CFO, you'll be instrumental in shaping the financial architecture of a dynamic, growth-oriented firm. You'll oversee all financial operations across fund structures, SPVs, and management entities, ensuring robust governance, strategic capital planning, and institutional-grade reporting that supports their continued expansion.

Lead strategic financial planning, budgeting, and multi-entity modelling across all business lines

Oversee consolidated group accounts, IFRS reporting, and investor communications

Manage fund accounting, NAV production, capital calls/distributions, and performance analytics

Partner with executive leadership on capital structuring, liquidity management, and growth initiatives

Ensure compliance with ASIC, ATO, and offshore requirements

Drive process improvement, system optimization, and team development

You must bring the following experience and ‘step-up’ candidates who are ready for their first CFO for are strongly encouraged to apply.

CA/CPA qualified with minimum 15 years in senior finance roles

Deep experience in asset management, private equity, private credit, or real estate investment

Comprehensive knowledge of fund structures, IFRS reporting, and regulatory frameworks (ASIC, APRA, CSSF)

Proven track record managing institutional-grade financial governance

Strategic mindset combined with exceptional technical accounting capabilities

Strong leadership presence with ability to communicate effectively with investors, boards, and regulators
