VALE Partners has been engaged by a fast-scaling startup to find their next Technical Lead. You will be joining a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team of professionals who've spent the past few years establishing and capitalising on product-market fit with their groundbreaking IoT product.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced software engineer looking for growth opportunities and a highly dynamic environment where they can take ownership for decision making and delivery. You'll be supported by highly experienced and capable leaders with an exciting vision that's yielded an impressive amount of commercial traction pre-Series A.

The team works onsite from their inner-city office 5 days per week so you'll need to be comfortable with an in-office working arrangement.

What You'll Be Doing

• Contributing code as a senior engineer, building out a performant and reliable software platform.
• Acting as a technical leader for a small team of software developers, helping to maintain code quality, organisation, and delivery velocity
• Establishing technical standards and practices to ensure codebase performance and quality.
• Identifying bottlenecks and bugs, devising solutions to mitigate and address these issues.

What You'll Ideally Have

• A track record of making judgement calls on technical decisions (particularly where there are no clear correct decisions).
• Experience working end to end in the development of software using .NET, TypeScript and React.
• Experience building consumer-facing apps, preferably with React Native.
• Familiarity with AWS and common design/architectural patterns for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
