Position: Leading Hand – Joinery/Cabinetry Installer

With 22+ years’ experience, we are a well‑established shopfitting and joinery business specialising in large commercial fit‑outs. Based just next to the Gateway Bridge and operating across QLD and NSW, our clients include major supermarket chains, liquor outlets, pet stores, department stores, hotels, schools and high‑end residential projects.

Role Overview:
We’re looking for a highly skilled Joiner/Cabinetry Installer to step into a Leading Hand role. This position combines hands‑on factory and on‑site work with supervisory and team‑lead responsibilities. You will manufacture in‑house joinery, oversee installation across multiple sites (including weekends), and lead a small team of tradespeople/assistants.

Key Responsibilities:

Manufacture joinery and cabinetry in our factory, ensuring high‑quality craftsmanship and adherence to drawings/specifications.

Lead and supervise a team in both factory and site environments — allocate tasks, mentor team members, monitor progress and quality.

Install joinery and fit‑outs onsite (commercial and retail environments) including weekend work as required.

Read and interpret architectural/shop drawings and installation plans; ensure work is completed to schedule.

Maintain tools, PPE, site safety and quality control; uphold WHS standards.

Ideal Candidate:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in joinery/cabinetry installation and commercial fit‑out (shop‑fitting, retail, etc).

Demonstrated ability to lead by example, supervise others, and coordinate installation/workflow.

Strong ability to read plans & drawings, measure and work precisely, attention to detail and pride in finish.

Positive attitude, strong reliability, team‑player mindset and professional in client‑facing situations.

Requirements:

Construction White Card (site access).

Valid Class C driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle/tools.

Availability for day and weekend shifts and travel across QLD and NSW.
