About the role

Murrell Distribution, a leading logistics provider, is seeking an experienced MC Interstate Driver to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position based in Canberra, ACT 2600, offering the opportunity to be part of a fast-paced and customer-focused environment.

What you'll be doing

Safely operate heavy vehicles such as semi-trailers and B Doubles to transport goods across interstate routes

Interstate Express work Between Melbourne and Canberra

Night time driving that is express and time critical

Adhere to all applicable road transport regulations and company policies to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of cargo

Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and address any maintenance or safety concerns

Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, routes, and cargo details as required by legislation

Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients and ensuring on-time deliveries

Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles as needed

What we're looking for

A current MC (Multi-Combination) driver's licence with a minimum of 3 years' experience driving heavy vehicles

Strong knowledge of Australian road rules, transport regulations, and safe driving practices

Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines

Exceptional communication and customer service skills

A commitment to safety and a demonstrated track record of safe driving

The physical fitness to perform the duties of the role, including the ability to load and unload cargo
