Position Available: Early Childhood Educator.

Please note that due to government regulations you must currently hold an approved qualification in Early Childhood Education, we will be unable to respond to any enquiries that do not hold a qualification in the sector.

Employment Type: Full Time or Part Time (minimum 26 hours per week)

Location: Young Explorers Preschool and LDC, 5 North Street, Coffs Harbour 2450.

High Educator to Child Ratios: At Young Explorers Preschool and LDC we always aim to have a higher ratio than required. We currently only need 4 staff a day but have 5-6 most days. Your employment will ensure we can maintain our high ratios of preferably 6 staff a day and some days 7 staff.

Small Family Owned and operated centre: Our centre is a small 28 place, family owned and operated centre, we have long term staff and value each person for their individual qualities they bring to our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Engage and supervise children in age-appropriate activities

Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children

Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues

Implement the curriculum to promote children's learning and development

Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines

Requirements:

Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or currently working towards one), or;

A Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care

Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)

First Aid, CPR, and Anaphylaxis training

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively within a team and independently

Genuine passion for working with children and supporting their holistic development
