Qualifications & experience

Trade qualified automotive background essential - Mechanic. [Applicants must have the required qualifications to be considered.]

Minimum 2 years post qualification trade experience preferred.

Demonstrated ability to carry out diagnostics, service, repairs and maintenance on most makes of vehicles.

Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a small team.

Possess strong communication skills and demonstrate good housekeeping.

Own tools - mandatory.

Current Australian Diver License - mandatory.

Immediate start.

Applicants must be physically in Australia and must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or hold a Permanent Residency Visa.

Tasks & responsibilities

Inspect and repair a wide range of vehicles.

Perform routine vehicle servicing.

Vehicle diagnosing.

Write detailed job cards.

Communicate with other mechanics and with customers.

Complete test drives of customer vehicles.

Use power, machine and hand tools safely.

Follow all motor vehicle repair shop regulations and standards.

Capacity and willingness to supervise and support apprentice mechanics and less experienced team members.
