About the Role

Working with Python frameworks like FastAPI, Starlette, and Sanic, this role develops and maintains backend APIs and systems, collaborates with application developers, and delivers secure, high-performance cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain multiple Python-based APIs and backend systems
• Write clear, comprehensive API documentation for internal use
• Collaborate with developers to ensure APIs are easy to consume
• Implement modern authentication and authorisation protocols
• Deploy backend systems and APIs on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Participate in CI/CD processes and automated testing workflows

Skills & Experience

• 3+ years experience in Python API development using modern frameworks
• Strong knowledge of OpenAPI specifications and Swagger UI
• Experience with asynchronous Python applications and libraries
• Proficiency with Git, version control, and team collaboration patterns
• Experience deploying APIs and backend systems on cloud platforms
• Familiarity with automated testing, CI/CD, and secure authentication

Australian Citizenship & ability to obtain Baseline security clearance is a mandatory requirement for this position.
