We’re seeking a passionate Young Parents Program Facilitator to join our team at Anglicare WA. In this role, you’ll empower young parents through individual and group support, including outreach visits in the community and facilitating a weekly playgroup at the Westfield Park Child and Parent Centre. You’ll provide informal counselling, practical support, and parenting guidance, helping to strengthen families and reduce social isolation.
As the Young Parents Program Facilitator, you will be responsible for:
- Planning and facilitating programs aimed at supporting young parents in developing essential life skills.
- Providing individual support and guidance to young parents, assisting them in setting and achieving personal goals.
- Collaborating with community partners and stakeholders to create a supportive network for young parents.
- Conducting assessments to identify the needs of young parents and develop tailored support plans.
- Delivering educational workshops on topics such as parenting, budgeting, and healthy relationships.
- Maintaining accurate records of program participation and progress towards goals.
This is a lone worker role suited to someone confident working independently while building strong partnerships across Anglicare WA and the wider community. Success in this position requires being self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable supporting clients in diverse settings. The role includes an outreach component, involving community-based client engagement and facilitating a regular playgroup at the Westfield Park Child and Parent Centre.

This is a permanent part-time (30 hours per week) role working Monday to Thursday, based in Gosnells
What you will bring
You will bring your patient and empathetic nature alongside experience in delivering person centred, trauma informed case management services that are culturally appropriate. Additionally you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Youth Work, Human Services, Counselling or Psychology
- Demonstrated experience working with young people including case management and assessment skills, and delivery of group programs
- A thorough understanding of the barriers and difficulties facing ‘at risk’ young people and the community resources available to them
- Ability to assess risk and safety plan
- Ability to be innovative and flexible, work independently, use initiative and work effectively under pressure
The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within 12 months, a WA Working with Children Check and a WA Drivers Licence.

- Salary starts at $86,950 per annum pro rata + 11.5% superannuation
- In addition to your remuneration, you will enjoy generous tax-free salary packaging benefits where you can package up to $15,900 per annum and not pay tax on that amount
