About the opportunity:
Are you passionate about teaching and shaping the next generation of sport and exercise professionals? We are seeking an enthusiastic academic to join our Sport & Exercise Science team at the School of Rehabilitation & Exercise Science.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for an education focused academic who is passionate about sport psychology and committed to delivering engaging learning experiences. You will contribute to teaching and course development across Sport & Exercise Science and Exercise Physiology & Rehabilitation programs, working with a team dedicated to excellence in teaching and student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Make significant contributions to teaching, course development and lead innovation in the teaching of sports psychology
- Conduct tutorials, practical classes, and workshops
- Prepare and deliver lectures and seminars, marking and assessment
- Undertake effective engagement with professional bodies, relevant industry and government stakeholders
To be successful, you will have:
- Experience teaching sport psychology (or related) units
- A PhD in sport and exercise psychology (or working towards it)
Accreditation as a Sport Scientist (ESSA) and/or applied experience working with athletes or sporting organisations in a sport psychology role would be desirable.
