About the Role

The Enrolled Nurse Transition to Professional Practice Program (TPPP) at CALHN is a dynamic, hands-on opportunity for newly qualified (or soon-to-qualify) Enrolled Nurses to move seamlessly from student to practising professional.

Join a 12-month graduate program (32 hours per week) that includes:

  • Two stimulating clinical rotations to broaden your skills
  • Four professional-development days focused on growth and learning
  • Dedicated support from an experienced nurse team every step of the way
  • Potential for ongoing employment once the program is complete

Ideal for Enrolled Nurses who have completed their Diploma within the past 12 months and have less than six months’ acute care experience, this program lets you work alongside Registered Nurses and Midwives to deliver safe, person-centred care while building confidence, clinical expertise, and a rewarding future in nursing.

Key details:

  • Program Start dates: 7 February 2026 or 7 March 2026
  • Registration: You will be required to hold AHPRA registration at least 4 weeks before your chosen start date

This program offers the perfect pathway to grow from novice to proficient Enrolled Nurse in a supportive, learning-focused environment.

About You

You are an empathetic and motivated Enrolled Nurse who delivers safe, person-centred care and thrives as part of a collaborative team. Your qualifications and experience show a strong commitment to professional standards and continuous learning.

You bring:

  • Current or eligible registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, including completion of an approved medicines administration program.
  • Proven ability to provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care, recognising and reporting changes in clinical condition while managing a busy workload.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, building positive relationships with patients, families and multidisciplinary colleagues.
  • Sound knowledge of professional standards, legislation and ethical practice, ensuring care meets all regulatory and quality requirements.
