About the Role

As Youth Throughcare Coordinator, you’ll lead NAAJA’s Youth Throughcare and Justice Support Service — a trauma-informed, culturally safe program supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth before and after detention.

You’ll coordinate service delivery, supervise case managers, and directly support young people to reconnect with family, kin, and community — reducing recidivism and strengthening futures.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Coordinate and oversee the delivery of person-centred case management
  • Supervise a small team of 3–5 Case Managers
  • Manage referrals and ensure quality service delivery
  • Provide direct case management and advocacy for a small caseload
  • Build partnerships with families, communities, and key services
  • Contribute to evaluation, reporting and program development

What You’ll Bring

  • Leadership experience in case management or program coordination
  • Understanding of trauma-informed, culturally safe practice
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
  • Knowledge of justice-related issues impacting Aboriginal youth
  • Ochre Card (or ability to obtain), current driver’s licence, and clean criminal history

Desirable: Aboriginal language skills, lived experience, or qualifications in community services, social work, or criminology.

Join us and lead meaningful change.

Apply today and help create safer, stronger futures for Aboriginal young people in the Northern Territory.
