Project Officer – Digital Capability Uplift

A large Queensland Government department is seeking a Project Officer to support initiatives that strengthen digital capability across the public sector. This role will contribute to projects that help government employees and leaders adapt to digital ways of working, supporting the ongoing transformation of services for Queenslanders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake research and analysis to inform the design and delivery of digital capability programs.
  
  
• Take ownership of small project work packages, ensuring outcomes are delivered effectively.
  
  
• Prepare and present clear reports, briefs, and project documentation to support decision-making.
  
  
• Build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, industry, and education partners.
  
  
• Support project planning, scheduling, tracking, and reporting using established tools and processes.
  
  
• Collaborate with project teams to maintain alignment with objectives and support continuous improvement.
  
  

Skills & Experience:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare concise and insightful documentation.
  
  
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in research or program support.
  
  
• Understanding of project management principles and experience supporting project delivery in government or large organisations.
  
  
• Ability to build collaborative relationships and engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  
  
• Knowledge or experience with Generative Artificial Intelligence tools highly regarded.
  
  
• Enthusiastic, adaptable, and eager to contribute to digital capability initiatives.

Casual Loading
Please note for all Australian based contract and temporary roles only, the pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading. This excludes permanent and fixed term roles.
