The Rainforest School
Posted 11 days ago
The Rainforest School is a small, independent primary school nestled between the rainforest and the beach in South Mission Beach, Far North Queensland. With two multi-age learning groups (Prep–2 and Years 3–6), our intentionally small setting creates a calm, connected environment that feels like a home away from home. Every student is known and nurtured, surrounded by genuine care and a strong sense of belonging.
Guided by our values of Connection, Conservation, Community and Creativity, our approach combines explicit teaching with hands-on, real-life learning experiences that help children grow as capable, curious and compassionate learners.
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and flexible Primary Teacher to join our team in 2026. In this role, you will teach English, The Arts and HPE or Technologies (to be confirmed) to two multi-age groups:
Prep - Year 2
Year 3 - Year 6
Each learning session takes place in a shared space with two teachers present. You will teach one group at a time, while your colleague teaches their subject to the other group. You will have the support of a teacher aide, helping to create a collaborative, nurturing environment where every student can belong, learn and flourish.
