The role suits someone with an auto-electrical or mechanical background—particularly those comfortable with 24-volt systems, small diesel generators, and troubleshooting electronics. You'll be servicing and maintaining a growing fleet of 30+ high-tech trailers that operate across coastal and inland QLD.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with advanced equipment, be part of a small, collaborative team, and contribute to a mission that genuinely makes a difference in the community.
Your Responsibilities:
- 75–90% workshop-based, servicing and maintaining high-tech mobile trailers
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults

- Perform inspections and preventative maintenance
- Tow and reverse 2-tonne trailers safely and confidently
- Travel to regional and remote locations across QLD (occasionally at short notice)
- Assist with the deployment and recovery of trailers in the field
- Follow established processes and safety protocols
- Work closely with two other technicians and project engineers
Your background:
- Auto electrical, mechanical, or diesel generator experience
- Experience with 24V systems, fault finding, and diagnostics
- Comfortable using command line tools or willing to learn
- Ability to tow and reverse a trailer (up to 2 tonnes)
- Resilient and professional manner required at all times
- Strong attention to detail and responsible with tools and equipment
- Enjoys driving and being on the road when required
- Reliable, punctual, and a quick learner
- Friendly team player who takes pride in doing things properly
- Follows direction well and respects process and procedures
- Full Australian working rights and valid manual driver’s licence
- Willingness to work at heights when required and in field environments
Desirable attributes:
- Networking or IT troubleshooting knowledge
- Familiarity with Linux/UNIX systems
- Experience with fault-finding tools or schematics
- Mechanical or fabrication background
You’ll be working in a close-knit team alongside two other technicians, supported by a hands-on leadership team who value the right attitude above all. If you're the kind of person who loves learning, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to be part of a purpose-driven, professional team, you’ll thrive here.
Salary & Benefits:
- $85,000 – $100,000 Plus Super
- Full-time permanent position
- Work vehicle and tools provided when on the road
- Travel and accommodation covered when working away (Occasional)
- Supportive team environment with room to grow your technical skills
- Be part of a company genuinely focused on making a difference
