Position Purpose
The Manager – NDIS Day Program is responsible for the leadership, operational management, and strategic direction of the centre’s NDIS programs. This role ensures that all services are delivered to the highest quality standards, fully compliant with the NDIS Practice Standards, and consistent with ACWA’s mission and values.
The position plays a vital leadership role in staff development, participant engagement, service compliance, and program sustainability, and reports directly to the Board of
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Report directly to the Board of Directors, providing regular updates on service delivery,
financial performance, and strategic initiatives.
Design, implement, and review programs that enhance the well-being and independence
of individuals with disabilities.
Ensure all services comply with local, state, and federal disability regulations, including
NDIS Practice Standards and the Disability Inclusion Act 2014 (NSW).
Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of disability support professionals, including
recruitment, performance management, and professional development.
Prepare and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and allocate resources to
optimise service delivery.
Collaborate with families, caregivers, and community organisations to support client
outcomes.
Advocate for inclusivity and accessibility for individuals with disabilities within the Centre
and the broader community.
Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, implementing improvements as required.
Maintain a safe and compliant workplace, adhering to all relevant workplace health and
safety policies and procedures.
Other duties as directed by the Board of Directors.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
Tertiary qualification in Disability Services, Community Services, Social Work, or a related
field.
Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

Experience:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a management or leadership role within the disability or
community services sector.
Demonstrated experience in program development, staff supervision, and financial
management.
Knowledge of, or respect for, Islamic values and practices, with commitment to delivering services in a manner consistent with these values.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Sound knowledge of disability sector regulations and best practice.
High-level organisational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders, including clients, families, staff,
and external agencies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant client management systems.
PERFORMANCE GOALS
Provide timely and accurate reports to the Board of Directors.
Ensure all programs and services meet compliance and quality standards.
Achieve budget targets and demonstrate effective resource management.
Maintain high staff engagement and low turnover.
Foster a culture of inclusivity, safety, and continuous improvement.
Achieve positive outcomes for clients and families as measured by feedback and program
evaluations.
