Yarralumla Primary School is seeking a passionate and qualified Italian/English Bilingual Teacher. This is a permanent position.
Yarralumla Primary School is proud to be the only Italian-English bilingual school in the Australian Capital Territory. Since the launch of its bilingual program in 2009, the school has grown from 35 students to nearly 400, spanning Kindergarten to Year 6. This growth reflects the program’s strong reputation and the community’s enthusiasm for bilingual education.
Our bilingual curriculum is delivered through the Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) approach, where students engage with 50% of the Australian Curriculum in Italian and 50% in English. This model fosters deep language acquisition alongside academic achievement.
Research and student outcomes consistently show that bilingual education provides significant cognitive benefits, enhances social awareness, and contributes to a strong sense of personal fulfilment.
If you're passionate about bilingual education and want to be part of a dynamic, inclusive, and forward-thinking school community, Yarralumla Primary School offers a truly rewarding opportunity.
