Resolve Recruit is partnering with a major Commonwealth Government department to engage up to two Field Support Engineers (ICT Infrastructure) to provide priority technical support across the department’s Australian sites. These roles will deliver high-availability ICT infrastructure and ensure reliable connectivity across the organisation’s national network.

These roles will:

• Provide technical support across the Department’s Australian network, with domestic travel and occasional international travel as required.
• Install and support IT, network and communications systems.
• Review and maintain installation documentation for a range of ICT systems.
• Engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels across DFAT and partner agencies.
• Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn, applying sound lateral thinking to investigate and resolve undocumented issues.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.
• Perform after-hours and weekend work as required.

Key Experience and Skills:

• Proven experience supporting complex ICT environments, including multi-site networks and end-user systems.
• Desktop: Skilled in installation and support of end-user hardware and software.
• Printers: Capable of installation, configuration and fault resolution.
• UPS: Understanding of Uninterruptible Power Supply function, installation and maintenance.
• Physical Network and Server Infrastructure: Foundational understanding of network devices, server hardware and structured cabling.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel and work flexibly in response to operational priorities.

Security Requirements:

Applicants must hold an active Negative Vetting 2 Security Clearance or higher to be considered.
