LIVESTOCK HANDLER / STOCKYARDS

Oakey Beef Exports, part of the NH Foods Group, is one Australia’s largest and longest operating beef processing plants! Offering stable, full-time employment and long-term career pathways here in Oakey, we are currently seeking local candidates with cattle and livestock handling experience to join our Stockyards team!

What is the opportunity?

Becoming a Livestock Handler at Oakey Beef Exports is an opportunity to work locally with a small-group of experienced cattle handlers. This position offers:

Full-time, permanent employment in Oakey

A range of shift times ranging from 4am - 10pm starts

Autonomy to handle cattle where Animal Welfare and Safety are #1

What experience are we looking for?

Working as a Livestock Handler is a mixture of direct cattle handling, cleaning and general yard duties. Having the ability to manage your time and be proactive will be an asset. Previous experience handling cattle and livestock is required to ensure animal welfare and safety at all times! Some areas of experience that would be beneficial include:

Feedlot experience

Farm/station experience

Sale yards experience

Hobby farm experience

Livestock handling (Other)

While we are currently seeking candidates with existing cattle handling experience, we are open to applicants who have the proactiveness and motivation to build skills in livestock handling.
