Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Casual Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. In this role, you will provide high‑quality nursing care and clinical support to our Aged Care and DVA clients. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care, as well as conducting regular care plan reviews. There is also an opportunity to provide support work assistance as part of the role.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments of client’s physical, mental, emotional, and social needs.
Develop, review, and update individualised care plans in collaboration with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
Perform regular care plan reviews to ensure evolving client needs are met.
Deliver holistic nursing care, including medication management, wound care, and symptom monitoring.
Provide support work assistance as required, helping clients with daily living activities while ensuring comfort and safety.
Respond promptly to client and family concerns, offering education, guidance, and emotional support.
Coordinate and liaise effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in line with regulatory standards.
Ensure adherence to all healthcare regulations, policies, and safety protocols.
Participate in ongoing professional development and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
Experience in aged care nursing and knowledge of DVA client care requirements (this isn’t mandatory but highly desirable)
Ability to perform comprehensive assessments and apply critical thinking in complex care situations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, families, and health professionals.
Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and other systems used for detailed reporting, assessments, and evidence‑based care plan development.
Compassionate, client‑focused approach with strong advocacy and problem‑solving skills.
