About the role

The Accountant Support at Home is responsible for the preparation of monthly financial and management reports
and to assist the Finance Business Partner, with duties as required, to meet the overall Financial and Management
objectives of the organisation.

• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial reports, assist with Board and external reporting, analyze key drivers for income/expenditure, report on business unit trends, prepare forecasts, generate accurate end-of-month reports, prepare monthly journals, reconcile general ledger accounts, assist with annual budgets, and prepare year-end statutory accounts.
• Information & Advice: Provide timely and accurate information, advice, and reports to management, identify performance trends, prepare industry surveys, and offer technical accounting assistance.
• Performance Improvement: Generate ideas to optimise accounting, financial, and payroll information delivery, and undertake benchmark studies.
• Record Management: Maintain accurate accounting records.

About you

• Qualifications: Relevant degree in accounting and certification.
• Experience: Experience in providing accounting services that inform decision-making and support the business.
• Skills: Customer service commitment, ability to respond to needs, sound interpersonal skills, adaptive communication, strong organizational and time management skills, initiative, ability to work with minimal supervision, strive for excellence, build internal relationships, demonstrate respect, and be proficient in Microsoft Office and in-house databases.
• Knowledge: Basic knowledge of Aged Care Standards applicable to the role.
