About the Role

You are an experienced SAP Basis Technical Consultant with strong design and deployment capabilities to join a high-performing technology team delivering complex SAP environments. You will be responsible for the design, build, configuration, and deployment of SAP landscapes across development, test, and production systems within an enterprise environment.

Working closely with infrastructure, security, and application teams, you’ll ensure robust, scalable, and compliant SAP solutions that meet business and technical objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and deployment of SAP landscapes (S/4 HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, Fiori Front-end Servers, etc.)
• Perform installation, configuration, and upgrade of SAP systems across on-prem and cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / BTP).
• Manage system copies, transports, patches, kernel updates, and client administration.
• Optimise system performance and availability through proactive monitoring and tuning.
• Work with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to ensure compliance with enterprise policies and governance.
• Support landscape design documentation, deployment plans, and technical runbooks.
• Troubleshoot complex Basis issues across distributed environments.

To be successful for this role, your CV will need to reflect on following skill-set:

• 5+ years SAP Basis administration experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Proven experience in system design and end-to-end deployment of SAP environments.
• Strong knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, S/4 HANA, BTP, Fiori, HANA DB, and Linux/Windows environments.
• Experience integrating SAP solutions with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of high availability, backup & restore, DR strategies.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes (Change, Release, Incident Management).
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Desirable but not essential:

• Detailed experience with OpenText integration with SAP, ideally both across the on-prem ECC version as well as cloud S4/HANA on public cloud;
• TOGAF Architecture experience background
• Experience working in NSW Government or large public-sector organisations.
