Rapid Perforating Grating and Stanchions – Melbourne Northern Suburbs VIC

We are seeking experienced Leading Boiler Maker or Second Class Welders for work within our fabrication team, working in the Northern Suburbs.

We are well positioned for continuing growth in Australia and seek an initiative-taking individual to join our Northern Suburbs team. We are a fully owned Australian family business located across manufacturing and distribution sites in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and South Australia.

We are looking for a full-time Boiler Maker / Steel Fabricator to join our team at Coolaroo Vic.

You will be an energetic person, with steel industry experience, excellent communication and tenacity to work through the daily demands of the manufacturing industry. A thirst for learning is required to develop your knowledge of our products.

Key Responsibilities

· Steel fabrication experience.

· Pipe Bending Preferred but not essential.

· Handrail and or balustrade assembly.

· Mig Welding, Oxy Cutting, Saw cutting.

· Ready to take the next step and lead as required.

· Able to work Monday through Friday and overtime when requested.

· Self-motivated and willing to learn various duties.

· Be physically fit and able to complete work in summer & winter warehouse conditions.

· Assist in Warehouse / dispatch when and if required.

Experience:

A Fabricating background in the Steel Industry, desirable but not essential

Trade Qualified or Equivalent.

Ability to read workshop drawings.

A Current Forklift License essential. Experience forklift driving desirable.

Superb written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent organisational and planning skills.

Excellent time management skills.

Ability to use your initiative and work within a team environment.
