Senior Software Engineer

Location: Sydney (Hybrid – 2 days in office)

Salary: $160,000-$180,000+Super+Equity Options.

A rapidly scaling technology company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build an innovative digital engagement platform redefining how users experience advertising online. This role offers the opportunity to work on modern, cloud-native systems and make a tangible impact across the full product lifecycle.

You’ll work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software that delights users while supporting business growth. This is a key position for an experienced engineer who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex technical problems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, and deploy full-stack applications using TypeScript and Node.js.
• Lead or contribute to architectural decisions and ensure scalable, maintainable system design.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver impactful features.
• Promote engineering best practices including clean code, testing, CI/CD, observability, and security.
• Support production environments, ensuring system reliability, performance, and uptime.

Requirements:

• Proven experience developing software with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Frontend Experience with React & NextJS
• Strong background in software architecture and system design.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD, testing frameworks, and observability tools.
• Pragmatic problem-solving skills and focus on delivering value.

Bonus Experience:

• Familiarity with adtech or martech concepts such as attribution, targeting, or DSPs.
• Experience with Cloudflare Workers, Queues, or KV storage.
• Exposure to analytics platforms such as ClickHouse or other OLAP tools.
• Understanding of SRE practices and cloud infrastructure management.
