About the Role
Following the success of our recent Electrician to Powerline training program, SA Power Networks are offering an exciting opportunity for a qualified Electrician to take their career to new heights and become a qualified Powerline Worker. Our Accelerated Training Pathway Program offers comprehensive, on-the-job training leading to a Certificate III in ESI - Distribution Overhead.
Working within a supportive and dynamic team you’ll develop the technical skills and knowledge required to construct, maintain and operate South Australia’s electricity distribution network.
With our in-house training being delivered across our two training centres (based in Adelaide and Port Augusta), we take the stress and heavy lifting out of travel, by offering LAFHA and accommodation where needed to support your journey of learning and development.
Start Date: 16th of March 2026.

About you
- Your skills and experience will include:
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology (essential)
- Electrical Workers Licence (essential)
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency (essential)
- Current Class-C Australian driver’s licence (HR desirable)
- EWP, White Card, First Aid, Rigging & Dogging (desirable)
- Experience working on 33kV aerials and switchgear (desirable)
- Involvement in power, control and protection system upgrades (desirable)
- Exposure to industrial, commercial or heavy electrical environments (desirable)
- Strong English, numeracy and mechanical reasoning skills
- Demonstrated experience in electrical installation, maintenance, testing and fault finding
- A strong work ethic, team-first approach, and unwavering commitment to safety, quality and customer service
