Our client opened in 1955 and has grown into a reputable steel recycling business. They provide steel recycling services for industrial, commercial and residential customers across the Melbourne metro area.

About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and physically capable MR Driver to join our team, responsible for the curb side collection of white goods (e.g., fridges, washing machines, ovens) from residential and commercial properties across Melbourne.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the move, working independently, and interacting with customers in a professional and respectful manner.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive an MR truck to scheduled locations across the metro area for white goods collection.

Safely load and secure items onto the vehicle using appropriate equipment.

Maintain daily run sheets and complete basic paperwork as required.

Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding pickups.

Ensure safe operation of the truck and comply with road and workplace safety standards.

Perform basic pre-start vehicle checks and report maintenance issues.

About You:

Valid MR (Medium Rigid) License.

Good physical fitness - capable of lifting and manoeuvring bulky items safely.

Punctual, reliable, and self-motivated.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Good customer service and communication skills

Basic knowledge of metropolitan Melbourne roads and traffic conditions.

LF forklift license not essential but highly regarded.

Clean driving record and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen.
