Through collaboration, innovation and excellence, CO-ACT is building a progressive model of care where your expertise as an Occupational Therapist will make a lasting difference. Be part of this transformative journey and help shape the future of aged care.

About the role

Step into a career where your skills can directly change lives. As an Occupational Therapist with the CO-ACT service at Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre, you’ll provide assessment and tailored interventions for patients with complex needs, supporting them to rebuild independence, confidence and quality of life. Applicants will be considered at both AHP1 and AHP2 level, making this an ideal opportunity whether you’re beginning your career or bringing established expertise to a service at the forefront of aged care.

Each day will offer variety and purpose as you work closely with a passionate multidisciplinary team. You’ll develop advanced skills in managing high-acuity caseloads while also contributing to research, innovation and quality improvement projects. Beyond the hospital setting, you’ll collaborate with community and residential care providers to ensure older adults experience seamless and compassionate care transitions.

About You

You’re an Occupational Therapist who is motivated by the opportunity to empower older adults to live with greater independence and dignity. This role is open at both AHP1 and AHP2 level, offering pathways for growth whether you are starting out or ready to extend your impact as a more experienced clinician.

To succeed, you will bring:

  • Professional qualifications – Degree in Occupational Therapy with registration (or eligibility) with AHPRA.
  • Clinical expertise – Sound professional judgement and evidence-based practice in assessment and intervention, including for complex cases.
  • Collaboration and communication – Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients, carers, colleagues and external service providers.
  • Adaptability and growth – Organisational skills, flexibility and commitment to reflective practice, quality improvement and lifelong learning.
