Bobs Shop Foodworks Point Lookout has been an institution on North Stradbroke Island for almost 40 years. We are an independently owned and operated store which services most of the community on the island.

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual with the ability to fulfil the role of Assistant Store Manager/ Grocery Manager. Suitable candidates must have industry experience in a similar role to competently facilitate and coordinate a wide range of operational functions and lead a team to deliver retail excellence standards.

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

Significant grocery and fresh food retail knowledge

A strong understanding of food safe laws and strong OH&S understanding.

Exceptional planning and organisational skills with a strong eye for detail.

Demonstrable financial acumen and ability to drive sales to achieve store targets.

Ordering and cost control expertise

Accurate staff rostering

Passion and enthusiasm, with a very "hands on" approach

Ability to liaise with both staff and management

A flair for merchandising

Strong leadership and delegation skills

Ability to coach, train and performance manage staff

Applicants must be available to work over a 7-day roster which may include afternoon and/or weekend and public holiday work.

This role requires you to be an active 'on floor' operator. Suitable physical fitness will be important to the successful applicant.

Due to the nature and location of the role, relocation to North Stradbroke Island would be preferred or reside/ relocate within Redland Bay as a minimum.
