This is a full time, permanent role living and working in Perth, Western Australia. We are managing a national talent search and if applicable, relocation assistance will be offered to the successful candidate as part of their package.

As a part of the Mission Australia Group, they currently manage more than 4,500 properties, providing social and affordable rental housing to low and moderate-income households and a safe place to call home for more than 8,000 residents across Australia.

As part of their continued growth and success story, Mission Australia Housing have created this State Manager, Operations position to establish and lead their new Western Australia operation based in East Perth.

Reporting to the National Manager, Housing Operations you will oversee and manage the whole of operations for Mission Australia Housing in Western Australia across Housing Services, Asset Services and Community Development.

You will be a results focused, passionate leader who has the capability to drive and focus the Mission Australia Housing team across Western Australia on this exciting journey to achieve the strategic goals of the organisation in line with their values, mission and purpose.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience in the leadership and delivery of housing services within a social housing context, with a proficient knowledge of social housing systems, policy and procedures. You will have the proven ability to build and develop stakeholder relationships and partnerships across all levels, drive continuous improvement in service delivery and improve performance against operational KPI’s, whilst meeting and exceeding government, funder and regulatory requirements.

You will be an inspirational, values driven leader with a passion for social justice and supporting people and communities to reach their full potential, with the commitment to work collaboratively, whilst empowering your team to operate and deliver within best practice principles.

The successful candidate will display proficient people management, analytical and communication skills, have an appetite for innovation and be a self-motivated leader and mentor who is accountable for their decisions. You will champion operational excellence, display a proficient business acumen and have a tertiary qualification in either Housing, Management, Social or Community Services.
