Physique Physiotherapy – Gold Coast Hinterland
Your first physio job shouldn’t be about survival - it should set you up to thrive. At Physique we’ve built a program that does exactly that with a job that offers genuine clinical mentoring (not lip service), a stunning place to live and work, and a community that values what you do.
Physique Health Physiotherapy is looking for another physiotherapist to deliver outstanding care to our patients while also developing expert knowledge, skills and techniques to become the best physio you can be.
The Role:
We’re offering a permanent full-time position starting in early 2026 for a physiotherapist to join our New Graduate Program – a program we’ve refined over the past 8 years. This program is specialised to new grads and dedicated to you becoming the best physio you can be.
What makes it different?
Real support. Not “we’ll check in now and then” support, but structured & ongoing mentoring that’s been proven to set physios up for long-term success.
We have had seven new graduates accelerate their career through this program over the past 8 years. Each of them are thriving in the areas of physiotherapy they have been drawn to, proof that structured mentoring pays off.
Why do we offer more support than normal?
Because your first years set the tone for your entire career. We know from our own experiences the difference between having great mentorship and support, and not. When you are navigating new challenges and finding your confidence the right support can turn the new grad years into a time of growth and purpose. Without it, it’s easy to lose the joy and desire to help that drew you to physiotherapy in the first place.
Here’s what you can expect:
Intensive two-week orientation – no patients, just getting your head around private practice. A period of bridging that daunting gap between uni and clinical practice.
Gentle transition into treatment – starting with 60-minute appointments, reduced only when you feel ready.
Four hours of dedicated 1:1 mentoring per week – 2 x clinical training session, 1 x clinical mentoring session, and weekly team in-services. This continues for a minimum of 3 years, with specialisation and leadership pathways available in further years.
Exposure across the WHOLE physio spectrum – Due to our unique location we treat across the full spectrum of physiotherapy services. Which means you get exposure to musculoskeletal, rehab, Pilates/exercise classes, women’s health, vestibular, paediatrics, headaches & more and you’re not locked into a specific area of physiotherapy.
Cutting Edge Assessment Tools - deliver outstanding care with all the tech and tools you could ever need. We have a fully equipped gym, Pilates studio and VALD assessment technology.
The Additional Bonuses:
Long-term security – permanent full-time role with good base salary, remunerated admin time, commission structure and no weekends.
$1000 PD fund annually – put towards external courses that excite you.
A team that has your back – we’re not just colleagues, we’re mates. And so is the local community. Our workplace culture is what makes Physique so special, and we’d love you to experience it.
The best lifestyle combo – where else could you spend your day refining your skills, and helping your patients before finishing the day off with a hike through the rainforest to waterfalls or sitting at lookouts overlooking Brisbane, the Scenic Rim and the Gold Coast.
The Clinic & Location:
Physique Physiotherapy isn’t just another clinic. We’re perched up on Tamborine Mountain, so we are surrounded by rainforest, lookouts, fresh air, wineries & trendy cafes, bars and eateries. Although the mountain can feel a while away the reality is it’s just 25 minutes from the M1 and 40 minutes from the Gold Coast beaches. Our community is close-knit and has a small town feel. Our referral networks are strong, and we’ve built lasting relationships with GPs, other health care providers, sporting clubs and community groups.
We’ve been the trusted physio team in the Gold Coast Hinterland for over 13 years, with 8 physiotherapists delivering care across everything from musculoskeletal and sports physio to women’s health, paediatrics, headaches and NDIS. We’re independent and locally owned, but we’re also connected – part of a professional network of clinics across SE QLD that share knowledge, systems, and support.
Who We’re Looking For:
We’re after a physio who’s ready to learn, grow and give back to their community. You’ll thrive here if you’re:
Wanting stability and support throughout your early years as a physiotherapist.
A physiotherapist with a client-centred approach to care and committed to ongoing training & mentoring.
Motivated to develop as a well-rounded and respected clinician within our community and the wider physiotherapy profession.
A person who will thrive in a smaller community and embrace warm friendly, interaction with clients.
Passionate about making a genuine difference in people’s lives. This is non-negotiable, every patient deserves the best care possible and we endeavour to give it to them.
Willing to demonstrate our values: compassion, integrity, courage, teamwork, accountability, quality and joy.
Requirements:
Eligible for Australian Physiotherapy Registration with AHPRA
Current driver’s licence + your own transport
