At Talem Speech Pathology, we’re passionate about helping children thrive. Since opening in March 2021, we’ve been delivering specialised services in speech, feeding and orofacial myology, backed by a team that is passionate, collaborative, and supportive.

We love what we do, and we make work fun! Our bright, modern clinic in North Lakes has a cafe on site and plenty of parking. We’re proud to work with a trusted multidisciplinary referral network, allowing us to provide holistic care and connect with other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for our clients.

Our caseload: Our clinic offers a specialised caseload with a strong focus on speech sound disorders, orofacial myology, and (if of interest) paediatric feeding.

Work-life balance: We offer flexible working arrangements to suit your lifestyle with full time or part time hours available. Full time hours will encompass a 9-day fortnight with work-from-home admin blocks.

From your first day, we provide personalised training to help you feel comfortable and supported working with our specialised caseload. At TSP, you’ll enjoy:

Regular internal supervision with our director, Jessarna, as well as paid external supervision every two months to support your ongoing clinical development.

Quarterly in-house PD days, plus team check-ins and social events to connect and grow together.

Access to a generous annual PD budget, ensuring you feel confident and supported with your caseload.

Paid attendance to an Introductory Orofacial Myology course within your first year.

Our Clinic: Our bright, welcoming space is fully equipped with all the resources, equipment, and assessments you need. Every treatment room has large windows for natural sunlight. A laptop is provided for your use.

Our Team: We’re a small, personable private practice. We love collaborating, learning from each other and celebrating successes together.

Administration & Autonomy: Enjoy dedicated weekly admin time, full administrative support, and the freedom to manage your own diary.

Intervention blocks and flexible scheduling: We do things differently at TSP. Interventions are tailored to each client and family, whether that’s ad hoc support, collaborating with other services, or working within an intensive treatment block format. Our flexible scheduling supports the needs of clients and families, which is particularly important in speech, feeding, and orofacial myology.

We’re proud to be a trusted referral source for local providers: Coordinating care within a multidisciplinary team is central to our approach, helping us address all components of a client’s needs and achieve faster progress. We work closely with ENTs, dentists, dieticians, occupational therapists, and body workers, to name a few.

THE ROLE

Part time or full-time hours are available.

The role is primarily clinic based, with some mobile therapy offered to clients within a 15-minute radius of the clinic.

We provide a 15-week induction program at the start of employment.

All equipment is provided, including a laptop, and the clinic features a fully equipped resource room.

You will get a healthy annual PD budget ($1300-$3000 dependent on PT or FT hours).

New Graduate and Early career speech pathologists are welcome to apply.
