We're eagerly seeking a Certificate lll or Diploma qualified Casual Educator to join our team at Poets Grove Family & Children's Centre in Elwood, VIC

About Us

Poets Grove Family & Children's Centre is a community-run not-for-profit service comprising of long day care, extended hours kindergarten, 3 and 4 year sessional kindergarten, maternal health nurse, and community facilities located in the Elwood Educational Precinct (co-located with Elwood Primary School and Elwood College). The Centre has a culturally diverse range of staff with almost 10 languages spoken, reflecting our local community's demographic.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality early childhood education and care

Participate in professional learning and development

Developing open communication channels with staff, children, and families

Complying with centre policies and procedures, in addition to licensing, legislation, and regulations

Assisting children with their daily routines and supporting them in their learning

Creating engaging environments to inspire and extend children’s development

Requirements

Minimum Certificate lll or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACEQA approved equivalent)

Minimum 2 years of experience in Education

First Aid and Asthma/Anaphylaxis certificate and Mandatory Reporting

Working with Children’s Check and Police Check or VIT

Hold a strong understanding of the National Education and Care Regulations, Early Years Learning Framework, Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework, National Quality Standards and Child Safe Standards

Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
